Back: Preparing for a night out in the club

Being at a club

Have you entered the club? Great- you not only managed to find a place called club, you also convinced the bouncer to let you in. Now the only thing left to do, is to find someone to flirt with. Perhaps you should start with a drink at the bar before heading to the dance floor. Watch the atmosphere and the people in the club. Talk to your friends about the things you see.

While one drink might make you feel comfortable, you absolutely have to make sure that you don't drink too much alcohol. If you drinking all the time, you'll have no time to dance and flirt. Often drinking too much is just a sign that you are unsure what to do and that you feel uncomfortable. Once you are pissed, you have to forget about flirting. Nobody likes drunken boys or girls. Finally, you run the risk to be kicked out of the club.

Instead of overconsumption of drinks, you should watch other people. This way you'll get an idea about the club. Are many people accompanied by a boy or girl friend? Do they seem to be singles? Is it usual to talk the people you didn't know before? Are many people flirting? Is it likely that later on couples that just met will be hanging around kissing? Do people seem to be aggressive? Is the club is too empty or too crowded for your taste?

If the answer to most of the questions is undesirable, you should consider going to an other club. But don't give up to early! Some clubs get crowded after midnight. If you arrived too early, you'll have some time to wait until the party is jumping. Other clubs close at about two o'clock in the morning. If you are not sure about the type of club you are in you should ask other party people. Before leaving, you should also ask other people to give you a hint where to go to next.
